Mandaue City campaigns against open burning of garbage
MANDAUE CITY, Cebu—The Mandaue City Environment and Natural Resources Office (MCENRO) continues to intensify its campaign against open burning through information and education campaigns (IEC) and enforcement, especially amid extreme heat conditions associated with El Niño. Louella Bering of the MCENRO Monitoring and Enforcement Unit said that eco-enforcers immediately respond to reports of open burning. They then conduct on-site information campaigns to educate violators.
