Drones banned in Makati throughout November for Asean Summit
MANILA, Philippines — Drones and other unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) will be prohibited in Makati throughout November as the city hosts events for the upcoming 49th Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) Summit, the local government announced on Monday. In a Facebook advisory, the local government said Makati would host activities and high-level meetings involving Philippine government officials, foreign heads of state, dignitaries and international delegates during the summit. The restriction aims “to ensure the safety of our guests and the entire community,” the city government said.
